MULTICARE HOSPITAL was founded by Dr. S. Muthaiah in the year of 2008. Earlier Dr. S. Muthaiah started his orthopaedic service from the year 1988 with a small out patient clinic at Marakada lane Karaikudi. Then he Started a small bone and join centre in the year 1996 at shanmugam pillai lane with 5 Beds.
In the year 2008 Multicare Hospital was established with 15 beds and 2 Operation Theatre mainly a Trauma and Joint replacement centre. In Subsequent year other specialities were started with visiting consultants. In the year 2010 the intrensive care unit and third operation theatre was started.
In the year 2011 the hospital was empanelled with government and private insurance schemes.
At present it is a 26 bedded hospital with NABH with a centre of excellence for Trauma, Joint replacement, Spine, Obstetrics and Gynaecology care and Yoga by renowned Orthopaedic Surgeon Dr. Viswanathan Muthiah & Dr. Sridevi Viswanathan.

Dr. Muthiah’s legacy continuing by his Son Dr. Viswanathan. He completed his MBBS and M.S Ortho from RMMCH Chidambaram in 2010. He stood University first in M.S Ortho & DNB. Ortho.

Dr. Sridevi, MBBS., MD., OG.,
Dr. Sridevi Viswanathan completed her MBBS & MD (OG) From RMMC Chidambaram & Stood University first. She pursued M.Sc., Yoga with First Class graduation from Annamalai University. She attended various conferences, training programs. She specialized in Yoga in pregnancy. Also trains the unborn child with Sri Garbha Vidya Program.
